Born into Haltsooi, born for Kinyaa aanii, maternal grandfather is Tsi’najiinii, paternal grandfather is Tsi’najiinii. Mr, Jim is a lifetime resident of Red Rock community located near Gallup, New Mexico.
Mr. Jim, served in the United States Navy, 1974 to 1977, he received an Honorable Discharge. Mr. Jim, is currently employed with Sage memorial Hospital in Ganado Arizona, as Traditional Practitioner, he started developing a Traditional Program Called Office of Indigenous Medicine, utilizing traditional ceremonies and traditional herbal medicine to help western medicine in healing patients. Mr. Jim provides Cultural Consultant work whenever requested, Mr. Jim is a member of the Dine’ Hat’aalii Association as aTraditional Practitioner (Hat’aalii), Traditional Counselor, Traditional Herbalist and Cultural Teacher, Mr. Jim, provides Equine therapy through Navajo Traditional Teachings.
Mr. Jim has the ability to provide intense Navajo Healing ceremonies, intense healing sweatlodge ceremonies for military veterans with severe PTSD, nationally. Mr. Jim is a strong advocate for integration of cultural teachings and healing ceremonies into the delivery of patient services.
The only full-blooded Native American awarded a fellowship from Robert Wood Johnson’s “Developing Leadership in Reducing Substance Abuse” in 2002 to 2005, Mr. Jim, has earned a Native Scholar Certificate Native from American Lecture Series, University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 2000.
Mr. Jim has the ability to develop Native Traditional programs with curriculum an incorporate it into western residential or outpatient treatment programs.
